Susan is a junior at MIT studying Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Bioengineering and a minor in Public Policy. She is currently the co-president of the MIT China Development Initiative – MIT’s premier organization for promoting US-China relations – and was the former co-director of IMUSE 2021, a student-run conference aimed at providing a platform for continuous engagement between students of the US and China.

Susan is passionate about applying her background in engineering and life sciences to tackle challenges in global health, international development, and public policy. Having just spent a gap year working in China, she is interested in using UCBRC as a platform to share aspects of modern Chinese culture and add more diverse perspectives to the conversation.
