Franklin is a senior at Harvard University studying Comparative Religion, language citation in Chinese, Government, and premedical studies. He spent this past summer studying Immunology and the COVID-19 pandemic at Harvard Summer School, and the previous summer studying intensive intermediate Chinese at Harvard Beijing Academy. Franklin’s extracurricular interests are centred around diplomacy and negotiation. He has served as both Committee Director and Crisis Director at Harvard National Model United Nations, where he chaired a committee on the Grand Council of the late-Qing Dynasty. In his free time, Franklin also leads Student Guide tours at the Harvard Art Museums where he explores topics on religion, transcendence, and subjectivity with guests. Franklin believes that the power of narrative and the quality of medium can bridge intercultural gaps in a complex issue as Sino-American relations.
